We are incredibly proud to announce that Star Throwers won ‘Community Group of the Year’ at the South Norfolk Community Awards – this was presented to our volunteers who donate thousands of hours of their time to supporting Star Throwers. We also want to celebrate Airlie Pigg who came Runner Up in the ‘Young Hero’ category for her volunteering and fundraising for Star Throwers and Nicky from The Enchanted Willow who was Runner Up in the Business in the Community category for their amazing ongoing support of our charity.
In October you can join us for a Charity Golf Day to support two local cancer support charities – Star Throwers and Finnbar’s Force. It’s a Stableford Team Event – Best 2 from 4, Teams of 4 – £220 per Team: Coffee & Bacon Roll on Arrival 9.00am, Two Course Meal & Coffee, Followed by Charity Silent Auction & Raffle. Entries are now open for the Blickling Autumn Half Marathon and there are free places available once again for Star Throwers: https://totalracetiming.co.uk/race/416. This will take place on Sunday 22nd October. Entry is FREE! Sign up to this challenge on behalf of Star Throwers and commit to raising a minimum of £100 for the charity.
Star Throwers Ball - 50% of tickets already sold! Our next Charity Ball will take place at Glen Lodge at Bawburgh Golf Club on Saturday 18th November 2023.
